The Artist Office project is becoming closer and closer to being a reality! We have raised over $1500 in just a few short months, and recruited amazing supporters and sponsors. We are now conducting market research with our survey, recruiting a web designer, and filming a promo video. I am also guest lecturing at two universities over the next few weeks, and producing a web series!

The Best Indie Theater Play of the year is...
After being nominated for an overwhelming 7 NYIT Awards, our production of Balm in Gilead took home the top prize--Outstanding Production of a Play. This honor was presented to us by the great John Patrick Shanley (Doubt, Danny & the Deep Blue Sea, many others) and was a perfect compliment to the 32 brilliant actors, the incredible design and production team, our great director Peter Jensen, and to our prolific author the late Lanford Wilson. I am insanely proud to have been a part of the cast of the production, and to be honored as part of such a vibrant Indie Theatre community. Read more

Arts Education Provides the Skills Businesses Need
Help artists receive valuable business training. Help create a performing arts workspace. The enclosed article points out how valuable skills developed in the arts are to employers in the business world. Equally important is how valuable business skills are to self-employed individuals in the performing arts. We are hoping to develop a workspace and training center for these entrepreneurial performers. We can only do so with your help. Consider donating today. Read more

My show this week, and what Joe Papp and I have in common!
Friends, it has been both a pleasureable and challenging experience working on a full length Greek play for the first time. I truly believe our hard work has paid off and I can wait to share this performance with you! We are performing in the historic East River Ampitheater, where the Public Theater's Shakespeare in the Park has roots, and rebuilt after the September 11th attacks and dedicated to children who lost parents during the attack. It is only fitting that we continue this tradition of free, high quality, family entertainment! Read more
