Nods and Notices
"T. Schreiber Studio's production of Lanford Wilson's Balm in Gilead is superlative in every way. There's not a richer or more rewarding work of theatre anywhere in town right now...The company assembled is without peer on any stage in NYC right now."- Martin Denton, NYTheatre.com
"...what a show it was: an utterly breathtaking presentation of Seven Against Thebes with a brilliant, feisty and fearless all-female cast of twelve reveling in song, dance and combat."- Who will kiss the pig, Seven Against Thebes at Summer Stage
"Among the big supporting cast, a standout is Erica McLaughlin as Hero's father, Leonato. The cross-gender casting might distract some theatergoers at first, but this actor captures the essential quality of Leonato as a parent whose firm authority seems increasingly shaky as the domestic world is turned upside down by all the crazy developments." -Baltimore Sun, re: Much Ado About Nothing
"Once again, [Chris] Gallu has put together an impressive ensemble cast consisting of Monalisa Arias, Jenny Crooks, Catherine Deadman, Kathleen Gonzales, Cesar Guadamuz, Dan Istrate, Erica McLaughlin, Andres Talero, John Tweel and Grady Weatherford all of whom do impeccable work playing multiple parts."
- DC Examiner, Roundheads and Peakheads, Catalyst Theater Company
"The puppeteers give their refuse a broad range of emotions with the tiniest flick of a wrist. And by engaging the lyrical beauty in common garbage, they remind us that wonder is not the exclusive purview of children." Village Voice, Basura!, New York Fringe Festival
